We’re anxiously hoping for more snow to improve area trail conditions. We received 7+ inches of snow tonight.
Current snowmobile trail conditions are best described as early-season conditions. We do have snowmobilers currently staying with us and they’re saying the the local 9 mile access trail is thin but rideable. Conditions improve once you reach the CJ Ramstad/North Shore State Trail. Heavy traffic is expected through the New Year’s weekend.
Area clubs have been doing some packing of the trails to help freeze up the low areas.
With this recent snowfall we expect to see more grooming taking in place in the next few days.
For those riders that would prefer to jump right onto the State Trail, there is a DNR parking lot located directly on the State Trail which is 7 miles West of Two Harbors on County Highway 2. People can also park nearby at the Voyageur Snowmobile Club’s clubhouse which also offers 24 hour pay-at-the pump gas.
We do offer various snowmobile discounts depending on dates and length of stay – call us direct at 218-834-5557 for our current offers.
